Welcome Central High School students to my Blog: Read Between the Lions. The purpose is for you to comment on a particular book being read for the week. The book for this week is The Bully.
Based on the title of the book, what do you think the main problem will be for Darrell, the main character? Has this ever happened to you?
I think the main problem that Darrell will be facing will be with a bully (... yeah), and probably what he will do about it. I think something like this happened to me before, but I don't really know.
ReplyDeleteThe book was great. Things such as bullying happen everyday in the lives of young teens and older students also. The way to deal with a bully is get an adult involved. Problems like that should never be in the hands of a child. Athority is the answer. I have never experienced being bullied before, but its never the answer. Darrell was fed up with being bullied, he got tired of being beat and jumped, so he took matters into his own hands. In cases such as that, he couldn't go to authority because that would have only made matters worse. So he did what any other person would have did, got the boy to leave him alone. He showed his bully, and everybody else in the school that enough was enough......

ReplyDeleteThe book was awesome!!I enjoyed every minute of it..It is about a boy who gets bullied and doesn't know how to stop from getting bullied from the big kid at school.At the end of the book, he resolves the problem. I think the main problem was just facing his fears and for me, this type of stuff never happen but i seem it happen towards someone before.
ReplyDeleteThis book was a really great book. I think its based on a true story; because most people do go threw it at home and school.
ReplyDeleteThis book means to me that every person will have to face new challenges in life and as darrell move. He has to face that he have the same life just new opportunites and being at a school that there was gone be rough spots and in this book darrell is facing all that but too face the challenge. But i really like this book because he learns 2 face these new challenges.This situation never happen to me before but if it i learn to face my challenges just like darrell!!!!
